Who is eligible to receive assistance?

Coastal Quality Assisted and Independent living is the perfect choice for anyone who is needing daily assistance to perform tasks or someone whom may ​need monitoring and around the clock care.


How do I know if my loved one is ready for assisted living care?

If your loved one needs help with activities of daily living or is socially isolated, it may be time. It may be difficult moving a loved one into someone's else's ​care, but rest assured we are fully committed to welcoming them like family and making our home their home.


Do you only offer assisted living care?

We also offer independent care to support the social needs of residents, while allowing residents to live as independently as possible.


How do I admit a loved or myself into Coastal Quality Living?

Foremost, find a facility that best fits you or your loved one. Carefully review the Residential Agreement to ensure it aligns with expectations of both ​parties. Ensure the facility is licensed to provide the level of care needed. Also, plan a visit with the prospective resident's physician to complete a physical ​examination and provide a copy to the prospective assisted living facility - to ensure the facility is able to provide the level of care.

What is the average cost for assisted living?

The cost varies from $1500 to $6500 per month varied by the facility, location and services provided.



Visitation Policy & Procedures







Policy:

It is our policy to ensure safe visitation to our residents consistent with the resident “Bill of Rights” F.S. 429.28. In addition to educating employees and visitors of residents on procedures related to infection control.




Procedures:

1. 2 people maximum to visit the resident at a time.

2. Person visiting must:

- Have their temperature checked at the door prior to entering the building.

- Visitation questionnaire answered.

- Review infection control education materials provided upon entry.

- Visitors must wear a face mask, and be free from COVID/Flu like symptoms.

- Must wash/sanitize hands.

3. After visitation, the area will be disinfected by staff members.

4. Any 3rd party personal providing care to residents, MUST wear a mask, screened at the door and MUST NOT have any COVID/FLU like symptoms prior to visiting resident to provide Care.

5. We will ensure that in person visitation will be allowed in all the following circumstances unless the resident objects:

6. End-of-life situations.

7. A resident who was living with family before being admitted to the Facility is struggling with the change in environment and lack of in-person family support.

8. The resident is making one or more major medical decisions.

9. A resident is experiencing emotional distress or grieving the loss of a friend or family member who recently died.

10. A resident needs cueing or encouragement to eat or drink which was previously provided by a family member or a caregiver.

11. A resident who used to talk and interact with others is seldom speaking.


12. The administrator is designated as the person responsible for ensuring that employees adhere to the visitation policies and procedures.

13. Residents may also designate a visitor who is a family member, friend, guardian, or other individual as an essential caregiver. The essential caregiver is allowed to have in-person visitation for at least

2 hours daily in addition to any other visitation authorized by the Facility but does not have to provide necessary care.

14. The Facility will respect the right of the resident to determine the number of visitors he/she would like to have at any given time during the 9am-6pm visiting hours.

15. A staff member is designated to support infection control and prevention by providing information on the visitation policy to the visitors.

16. Visitations are from 9am-6pm, at a minimum. Visitors requesting to come any other time need to make arrangements with the administrator or designee in advance.

17. The Facility will not require visitors to provide proof of vaccination.

18. All visitors have to sign in/out.

19. All visitors must wear a visitor badge.

20. Consensual physical contact between patients and their loved ones will not be restricted.

21. Visits are done throughout the building.

22. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

23. All visitors will be asked to agree in writing to follow this policy.

24. The administrator or designee may suspend in-person visitation of a specific visitor in case of violation of the provider’s policy and procedures on visitation.
